Whenever she propped herself up so that she could look at him as well and then began to question him. He could not help but laugh whenever she began to question him and he knew very well that she was curious. He shook his head and smiled before he decided to answer her question. " It is nothing..." He said with another smile as he shook his head again. " It is just that it is so good to see you..." He said with another sigh. " I had thought about you very frequently after you left and for years afterwards, some nights i could not get you from my mind. " He said with a sigh...

Olympia looked at him as she grinned slightly. "I have thought about you too." Olympia said as she watched him. "Usually when you say it is nothing, it is something, but you will probably never tell me what it is." Olympia said with a small grin on her face as she rolled back onto her back, staring up at the stars. She let out a sigh as she closed her eyes for a few moments. "Your going to have to open up to me eventually." Olympia said with a smile on her face as she turned her head, her brown eyes going to him.

Ambrose smiled whenever she told him that she had been thinking about him as well. It was good to know that the feeling was mutual and that he was not alone in his thinking. She had been rather young when she left the island and was not as grown up and as developed as she was now. He smiled as he glanced over at her and saw that she was looking at him as well. “ Well, I am more than open..” He said with a playful smile as he rose his hand and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear…

Olympia watched him as he reached over and brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Then why do you not tell me how you feel about me?" Olympia asked curiously as she laid back on her back, looking up at the sky. The fire crackled and it warmed her as she looked into the night sky. "You may think that I have not noticed the way you have been acting around me, but I do. I feel your gaze on me when I am not looking. I wasn't born yesterday, Ambrose." Olympia said with a small laugh as she turned her head to look at him. She was curious as to why he was acting the way he was, but she did have a pretty good idea as to why he was.

Ambrose smiled whenever she spoke openly with him as well. It was rather apparent that she probably already knew what was going on, but yet, he decided that he might wish to tell her. He sighed and nodded before he began to speak. " The feelings that i had for you...before you left.." He said as he took a deep breath as he ran his hand through his hair gently trying to figure out how he wanted to word this.." They were very strong....and they never.." he said, still tripping over his words a good bit, trying not to sound like a clown as his hand, as he had been speaking had slid over hers..as he continued to try and speak his mind hoping she already knew what he meant and had the same feelings.

Olympia watched Ambrose as she listened to him. She was silent after a few moments after his last statement, watching him. "I can't." Olympia whispered. "We can't... It's just not possible." Olympia said as she stood up, looking at him. "That relationship will take us to a place we cannot go, regardless of the way we feel about each other." Olympia said as she paced back and forth, her arms crossing. "Even you know that. Your married, Ambrose. You have a wife and you seem happier then ever, I will not let you give up your future for me." Olympia said, a serious look on her face as she looked down at him. "I'm sorry, but we can't." She said softly.

Ambrose listened to her speak, as she rose from her laying position and began to pace back and forth. There was truth to what she was saying but Ambrose did not really want to hear it. He heard her fine but it was rather depressing. He sighed as he listened and waited for her to finish. " Perhaps you are right, but i am happy now not because of my wife but because of what i am and who i am and my people and everything around me and now you. " He said softly as he ran his hands through his hair. " I do not believe that it is by some random circumstance that you were brought here..." He said softly.

Olympia listened to him and she frowned slightly. "I know. I came here for my people, firstly and I wanted to come here because I had heard you were king and I thought something had happened to you." Olympia said as she looked down at him. She didn't know how else to put it nicely. They couldn't have this relationship, it wouldn't work at all. They lived to far away for it to work and to top it all off, he was married. She turned her head away from him as she looked out over the dark landscape. She should never have come, she had a gut feeling that this sort of thing may happen. She kept her back to him as she spoke. "Nothing happens without a reason, Ambrose. Know that I still have feelings for you, but it will never work." Olympia whispered softly as she looked at the ground, waiting to see what he would say.

Ambrose was silent as he watched and listened to her. The firelight seemed to dance shadows around them as she spoke. He knew that she was right and he nodded. " I understand..." he said softly. " Then i shall not mention it again. " He said as he laid back on the grass and looked back up at the stars for a moment before glancing over at her, with her back still turned to him. He did not wish to fight with her, for they had never fought as children and he did not wish to do so now. " But know that these feelings for you shall never leave me, but i will allow you to make the decision on your own about your own feelings. " He said softly as he took another deep breath.

Olympia could tell that he was sort of up set by her decision. After about a minute of an awkward silence, she walked towards him. She laid down and placed her head on his chest, like she would when they were kids. "I am glad to know that I have a special place in your heart, for you will always have one in mine." Olympia said softly as she looked at the fire. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again. That was a sign that she was about to fall asleep, but her mind wanted her to stay awake. "I hope you don't mind me using you as a pillow?" Olympia asked, moving her head to look up at him, a smile on her face.

Ambrose smiled as as came and laid her head on his chest and told him that he would always have a place in her heart. He was more than accepting of that answer as he took a deep breath and sighed knowing that perhaps, one day, if the gods willed it they would be together. He shook his head as she asked about using him for a pillow. " Of course not, my chest is for your to rest. " He said with a smile as he leaned up and kissed the top of her head before leaning back down and resting his head on the soft grass as he placed an arm around her shoulder gently stroking her arm in a way of putting her to sleep. " Sleep well.." He said softly.

Olympia smiled as she felt his hand rubbing her arm gently. "You too." Olympia said softly as she closed her eyes, falling asleep.
****The next day****
Olympia's eyes opened slowing, only to close them at the brightness outside. She carefully stood up, making sure not to wake up Ambrose. She smiled down at him as she walked a little ways away from the camp and she sat down, looking up at the sky. The sky, was once again, clear and blue. But, on Crete the weather could change quickly. Hopefully the weather would be good and there would be no storms. She looked over at the camp, waiting for Ambrose to wake up.

It did not take very long for Ambrose to awake after Olympia had done so. He rolled over and noticed that she was no longer next to him and he stretched his arms and sat up and looked around for a moment before spying her, sitting a little distance away from where he was laying. He smiled as he looked at the fire, which, by now had burned gently down to nothing but a few coals. He rose to his feet, stretching his legs as he walked over to her and stood above her smiling. " Did you sleep well? " He asked gently as he looked in the same direction that she was gazing, awaiting her reply.
