Olympia, the secret Queen of Macedonia, got off a ship on the island of Crete. The island seemed like a paradise, considering what was happening in Macedonia. Tensions were rising between the rest of the Spartan alliance and Macedonia. Of course, Macedonia was planning on getting free from Spartan control, one way or another. Olympia, being the governess of Macedonia, was crowned Queen by her people, but it was a secret that was kept between her and five other people. They had to keep this a secret, so that they could gain their independence.
Olympia had decided to visit Crete, on a simple trade mission. Macedonia was going to need more food if they are to stand a chance against the Spartans if tensions do reach a boiling point. Hopefully, if all went well, there would be no hostilities. But even she knew that there was going to be a revolt and it was only a matter of time. Olympia was sure that there was no way in Hades that Sparta was going to let go of Macedonia without a fight. But, it was a fight they were going to be ready for.
The Queen was wearing a simple white dress, with gold trim around the outsides. She walked gracefully in the streets, her hair flowing down her back. Despite loosing her father and mother, she was in high spirits. Most people knew who she was, since she did kill a man that tried to take over after her father died. That was how she regained her title as governess and soon she was made Queen. She made her way to the palace, to see if Ambrose was present.
(Could we say that Olympia and Ambrose were childhood friends before she moved from Crete? Say, they haven't seen each other for over ten years or something like that?)

Ambrose was, at that time in the market place. He frequently dressed in peasants clothes, like he grew up in, and walked amongst the simple folk. Many people had no idea who he was and they would carry on coversations with him like he was a normal person, regardless of his title. Ambrose preferred this for he was burdened with his ruler ship and wished to be left alone at times and so he walked amongst his people. On this day he saw a ship anchor and off of which a woman along with a few other people came off the the ship. As one woman passed he noticed that she looked strangely familiar, yet he could not place a name to her face. He followed her and soon came to her..." Hello madam..my name is Abraham, is there anything i can do for you? " He asked with a lowly bow as a sign of respect, playing out his peasant clothes.

Olympia stopped when she heard someone behind her. She turned around to look at a peasant in front of her, but he looked familiar. It was possible her mind was playing tricks on her, but when she heard his name, she never even heard of him. "Greetings, I am Olympia. I was just visiting from Macedon and I am looking for Ambrose, who I heard is your king. Do you know where I could find him?" Olympia asked, a warm smile on her face. The peasant was defiantly taller then her, but then again, most men were. She was hoping when she found Ambrose that he would remember who she was. They both must have changed, since they haven't seen each other in so long. From what her recent messenger told her was that Ambrose was made King, which was surprising since she just remembered him selling horses.

As soon as she spoke her name Ambrose knew exactly who she was. He smiled and pretended that he did not know who she was. He nodded as she spoke listening to what she wanted. " Well, King Ambrose is not at home at the moment. I believe he is out...scouting his lands. " He said with a smile as he looked at the woman with a smile. " I, have only met him once, but he is very open about his whereabouts and lets his people know what he is doing. " He said with a smile as he looked at Olympia with a smile. She was the same woman, same features, same everything, she was just a bit older.

Olympia watched the man curiously as he spoke about Ambrose. She wasn't surprised that he was not at home. He was never the one to stay in one spot for very long. "He sounds like a great ruler. I had hoped he would be here, bust I guess I should have sent a messenger informing him. I guess this is a lesson learned." Olympia said with a shrug of her slender shoulders. A small breeze blew in the streets, moving her hair and dress slightly. "Do you have any idea when he will be back? I wish to speak to him, it is urgent." Olympia said, the same smile she had as a child on her face. Her brown eyes went to the peasants. He did look familiar to her, but she couldn't find a name for his face.

Ambrose listened to her and shook his head as she asked whenever he would return. It was rather amusing for him as he was referring to himself even though he was standing right in front of her. He smiled once again before answering her question. " Well no madam. I do not know when he shall return. However, my home is close by, you are more than welcome to stay there with myself and my dog." He said with a smile as he looked at the woman, the breeze moving her dress and hair back and forth as he awaited her answer.

Olympia listened to what he had to say, but then she noticed his smile. That smile was familiar to her and suddenly the name came to her. "Ambrose?" Olympia said softly as she looked at him. The man in front of her was different then what he was as a child, but it still looked a litle bit like him. "It's me, Olympia. Don't you remember?" Olympia asked, a smile on her face as she looked him. She was happy to see him again and she was surprised that he was king. She would have to ask him how a simple horse farmer became king of a whole nation.

He smiled once again whenever she remembered his name. He nodded and smiled once again. " Of course i remember you. " He said with a smile as he rose his hand up. " But do not give away my name..." He said with yet another smile. " I shall explain later. How have you been? " He asked as he walked towards her and embraced her gently before pulling away looking her over and smiling. " You grew up i can see, and filled in quiet nicely. " He said in his usual playful tone that he had always used whenever they were children.

Olympia smiled back at him as she listened to him. "Alright, I won't say your name." Olympia said as she embraced him back. "I've been better. I will explain what all has happened in Macedonia, for it has been interesting." Olympia said, her eyes going to his. He obviously has not heard that her parents were dead, but then again it was a touchy subject. She never really openly talked about them to anyone, but she probably will tell Ambrose what had happened. Plus, he probably didn't know that her title was no longer Governess, but she was made Queen. It would seem that they both had somehow wound up into royalty.
Olympia smiled and she gave him a playful push. "Thanks, you've changed as well." Olympia said, looking up at him. "You finally got taller then me." She said with a playful smirk on her face. "Well, should we get to your home, Abraham?" Olympia said, using the name her gave her earlier. Most people walked by them, not paying any attention.

He smiled as she pushed him playfully. She had been taller than him for some time and she would always harass him about it whenever they were children. Now, of course he had grown much taller than her and he was very proud of that. " Well of course. Right this way madam. " He said with a grin as he took her hand as he had done whenever they were young and led her through the streets as if they were children about to get into trouble. In a few minutes they arrived at a small home, just outside the city. Ambrose opened the door and let her in.." So..." He said as he closed the door behind her.

Olympia smiled when he took her hand and he led her threw the streets. This was just like old times, when they would get in trouble on more then one occasion. That time was defiantly a much more happier time in her life. When they arrived at the small house, she walked inside and she let go of his hand. When she heard him say so, everything kind of spilled out of her.
"Ambrose, my parents are dead. My father was killed in battle and when my mother and I got the news, she got depressed. A coward of a man named Ruticus saw that opportunity and he banished my mother and I from our own land." Olympia said as she began to pace back and forth. "My mother never got over her depression. She died from her own grief. I couldn't handle it any more. I went back to the palace and I snuck inside. When I arrived at Ruticus's room, I pulled out my sword and I killed him." Olympia said, her eyes going to his. "And now, my land is wanting to get free from Spartan control, which is why I am here." Olympia said, as she walked up to him. "My position is no longer Governess of Macedonia, Ambrose. My people made me Queen. If Sparta finds out, they will have me killed. I need to stay on Crete for awhile, for my own safety. Not alot of people know that I was made Queen, but you know how fast news goes around the Greek City-States." Olympia said, her eyes going to him.

Ambrose listened to her tale of course. He was not expecting something so long let alone something that full of sorrow. He nodded as he listened, holding her hand as she spoke to him, as a sign of his compassion. " I know the feeling, of family dying. My father died not but three years ago. " He said with a sigh as he shook his head as he held her hand tightly. " The only thing you can do is learn to live and get past such a burden and sorrow. " He said with a nod. " As for you staying here, of course you shall stay here with me as long as you desire. " He said with a nod. " After all, how can i turn down a queen? " he asked.

Olympia smiled as she felt him hold her hand. It was comforting to know that he was still alive, since he was the only family she really had left. Even if they were not related, she felt the most comfortable around him. "I'm sorry to hear that." Olympia said, referring to his father. "Thank you, for letting me stay. I promise not to be to much of a burden." Olympia said with a wink and then a small laugh. "So, tell me about yourself. A king I hear? What happened to the little boy who I knew as a horse farmer?" Olympia said, a smile on her face. She was curious as to how he became king. It was an odd turn of events, that they both became rulers of a country, but perhaps the gods had destined them both for greatness.

Ambrose smiled at her wink as she had always been so playful, so had he. " Well, apparently, whenever i was with one of my clients for a year, i made such a great impression on him he named me his heir. Well, it turned out that he was pretty much the ruler of the General States and thus here i sit. " He said with a smile as he gestured with his arms. " But, apparently you are a Queen now as well. Interesting enough..." He said with a smile as they had both been very fond of each other as children and Ambrose, up until the day she left had been extremely attracted to her and almost in love with her.

Olympia smiled as she listened to his story. "It's odd, how the gods plan our lives, is it not?" Olympia said, a smile on her gentle features. She shrugged her slender shoulders as he said that she was a Queen now. "Yes, I suppose I am. Of course, Macedonia is not yet free from Spartan control, but even now, my army is training to take them on, if they are not going to let us go without a fight." Olympia said. She had always been a fighter, not willing to give up on anything until she either came out victorious or defeated. But she knew that Macedonia will be free and will come out victorious.
Olympia's brown eyes went to Ambrose as she looked at him. As a child, she had always liked him. Which is probably why they were so close, but she never knew if he liked her back. She was still attracted to him. "So, how about the personal life. Are you married? Do you have any children?" Olympia asked, a curious look on her face.
