(Well, maybe we should let this scene be for the moment? As all politics have been discussed it seems and we need to get on with the storyline?)
Felicita was relieved to be in her brother's arms again, safely freed from the prison cells. Lucius indeed had read her thoughts, she was hungry and a little worn out, and wished for nothing more than peace at this moment. So, she gladly accepted his invitation to sit down, only then taking notice of Julia who sat not far away. She recognized her as being the Queen of Etrusca, and wondered how to treat her in this very moment. On the one hand Julia's husband has taken advantage of Daphne and herself, and although Julia had nothing to do with this, she did not free them either. However, on the other hand she seemed nice, happy to see her freed again.

(Yeah alright, lets end this scene as well I believe. Not really much need to go on, we truly need to go on with our plots yes. Anyway they now speak, finishes and returns home. Thats what should happen I believe, thought we can drop that yes.)

******************************************************************************
Within the last couple of weeks, the whole house, in which the former monarchs of Etrusca lived, had been changed. The monarchy of Etrusca was no more, it had fallen under the rule of the Romans, and the Roman Proconsul, Lucius Valerius Silvio, has moved to Etrusca to take over the governship. He had married the former empress of Etrusca, Julia, and so moved in her house, her palace almost to say.
Julia had been with child, with her first husband Leonius, although he had died by the hand of Lucius. Half a year had passed since this event, end the whole life Julia had been used to and loved with all her heart had changed. Only two months after the death of her husband, she married Lucius to allow Etrusca and Rome to get used to each other's dependence.
And now, again two months later after the wedding celebrations, Julia gave birth finally to a healthy, young boy. The people were to believe it was Lucius' child, however she wondered how they could seriously believe this. However, it was Lucius' wish, and it was the better for her child, for Leonius' child would be wanted and killed by the Roman senate otherwise.

Lucius who married Julia was glad to have gained a such beautiful wife as she, not only was she lovely but as well kind and wise. It had not been long since they married, but already some feelings had developed in them both. However the senate wasn't really pleased by their doing, more and more Lucius gained power from the people by the deeds he did. Since he became governor of Etrusca, as being a pro-consul of Rome he had gained more power then ever before. A better life of living the people had got, with greater possibilities to live better. With Lucius living in Etrusca, spies was not easy to enter the lands he owned. Although careful he kept his business to himself, keeping every plan he had made only to those loyal.
When the news of the child being born, Lucius quickly hurried to the room his wife gave birth in. Although it wasn't his child, but the child of his wife ex-husband. It bothered him, but to keep power he stayed fine with it and promised as long the child would be kept unknown from the truth he would do no harm. Soon as he arrived the room, he was told to wait outside until the deed were done. After a few minutes past, screams of a child could be heard. He was able to enter, but when the sight of the boy met him he smiled. Together, Julia and Lucius would raise him as their own. Gentle he moved over, touching the head of the new born as kindly he looked at the mother.

It had been a very exhausting birth, tragic as well for Julia as during the waves of pain she was reminded of Leonius, continuing. It was his child and she had wished with all her heart for him to be able to raise him as his son, not as the son of a Roman who took their land. So, her own screams were not only a sign for her bodily pain, but also for heartache, they were mixed with sobs and tears.
However, when finally her newborn son was laid into her arms, wrapped in a soft blanket, all this pain was gone, suddenly wiped away. She knew that it all somehow had been worth for just seeing her son now in the first moments of his life.
When Lucius was allowed to enter, she did not look up, she simply did not take notice of him. She was in a far away world, almost like a dream, with just looking at her baby, as innocent as any human could be on this earth.

Lucius who entered curiously looked at the new born child who his wife Julia held so peacefully in her hands, it was a great sight but still dangerous it was to keep the child alive. Hopefully the people would believe it was Lucius child and not Leonius, it had to be done if not the senate were to be angry about what had happened. However as close he stood to the bed, he could see the woman he married did not take notice of him. Her eyes was fixed upon the son, in deep thoughts as she wondered how to raise him up with all Romans around. Etrusca were no longer independent, but a province of the new Roman Empire.
"What should we call him?"Lucius asked as he turned his gaze on her, wondering what she would want to name the boy. Shortly after he asked, he came closer and touched the head of the child, feeling his little head who smooth and soft was. It surely was great and to raise him with a wife as Julia, would become good if nothing bad happened in future.

Julia looked up instantly when Lucius spoke, only now taking notice of his presence. "His name..." she spoke, not having thought of a name yet. She only had discussed names together with Leonius, a long time ago. "He should have a Roman name, shouldn't he?" she asked, before saying convincingly "I want him to be called Cassius... Marcus Cassius Silvio." She spoke, but did not reveal to her husband, why she chose this certain name, neither did she intend to let him know. Cassius had been a relative of Leonius, a cousin she believed, twice removed, who died at battle as well. In his honor and in the honor of Leonius she wanted to raise her son.

"Marcus Cassius Silvio? Well that surely sounds like a great name, I like it. Let us call him that, and I am sure everyone will love him."Lucius said with a smile, glad that the child would be raised as his. To hear the boy being named with the same last name as his family, made everything better. For him it felt more as if the child truly was his and not Leonius, however still afraid he was about what the child were able to do when it grew up. Although never would he get to know the truth, that Lucius would make sure of. His wife was lovely and to stay with her as long the destiny choose, he would love and care for her and the boy.

"I'm glad you agree." Julia spoke, in a serious tone, however probably she meant it ironically. For deep inside she thought about how it could be that it was his right to agree and deside a name for her and Leonius' son, even although he was her husband now. It made her feel a little angry, but did not show it, because after only a few momenty she suppressed this feeling again.
She turned back to her newborn son, Cassius. It was incredible how cute he looked like, such small fingers and hands who were holding her one finger, barely being able to reach around it. His eyes he had not yet opened, because for him the birth had been exhausting as well, and he just was falling asleep it seemed. It astouned her how silent he was, breathing quietly, but not crying. She believed that feeling her presence, the presence of his mother, made him feel calm and save, and for Julia it was an overwhealming feeling to have all the trust of this little human being.

Lucius smiled by the sight of his wife and son, to him it was a great day as it was for the rest of the population. Everywhere in the land they owned the people cheered in joy as happy they were, all over they celebrated as the new hair was born by their respected queen Julia. It was a great day, for all who believed a better future would come along the child who was born. Many believed the child would become great in time if Etrusca one day were to break free from Romans rule, although it still was impossible to change. At least with the new marriage between Julia and Lucius, the people hoped for a safe future.
Gentle Lucius sat down beside his wife, holding her close as happy he watched the new born boy. Softly he leaned closer to kiss her head, wanting to show how much she meant to him. "I love you, Julia."He said with a low voice, looking at her deeply curious as he hoped it would soften her more up. She looked unhappy with him around, thought hoped he pleased her even just recently she had lost her husband.

(Well, how to go on with those two? Which scenes come next?)
Only stortly after Lucius obviously had agreed to the name for 'their' son, Julie returned her gaze back to Cassius. She was exhausted and desperately needed sleep, but she did not take notice of that. All to the contrary, the beauty of this moment, holding her son in her arms for the first time, made her feel unbelievably strong and happy again, she was smiling brightly. All her senses now again were focused on Cassius, on this wonder of life.
Even although she heard Lucius saying that he loved her, she decided rather not to answer. He knew very well that she did not and probably would never be able to love him. It also surprised her that he had such feelings for her, for she always had had the impression that he was in love with another, not present woman. However, she never could say that for certain. His words confused a little in many ways.
