((OOC: Consider I began this the day before yesterday but for University I can hardly post everyday so do take in mind my character arrived and started the attack yesterday.))
IC:
The air seemed pure enough to breathe, but for a reason everything seemed to warn all men of the incoming event. The attack Rome began against the Italic tribes was strict enough not to kill too much but to surely win in no time. The lord of such lands had gone to attack another land, and so, this realm was unprotected...leaderless and divided. Even when an ally could come to help it was must unusual that they should win. Already the Romans had had a taste of victory when entering the city after breaking the defences and the main lines of those that had been left behind to protect the tribes.
Lucius had summoned Marcus to attack and so, as his loyal brother and main Centurion he did. His men stayed in formation at the first part of the attack but soon used their shields to make breaking formations to enter the city while the knights, along with Marius, backed them up with a rain of arrows, from time to time. Marcus smiled, soon they would surrender and Rome would have more land.

((OOC: I understand))
Kai was willing to defend this land he had conquered. He summoned his 100,000 men to a hill in front of the city. He would break the inexperienced Roman army in it's tracks. He had equal numbers and his men were veterans of a civil war and he seen much more combat the lowly ranked centurion coming to fight him. He was confident in his tactics and hoped to break the Romans on the climb up the steep hill. He knew that once he had broken the enemy formations he would just need to use his cavalry to mop up the survivors. He had 50,000 veteran heavy infantry. Wielding a Short spear and round shield, with a sword as a side arm.20,000 Archers trained in forests and masters of camouflage. 10,000 Heavy cavalry veterans of many battles. Trained in the use of swords and shield. 20,000 Light cavalry raiders armed and trained with swords and bows. He was confident who would win this battle, and with word that 230,000 Carthaginians were coming just made it all perfect. They may not arrive for the battle but nor would the 300,000 reinforcements coming from Illyria. The Hill he was defending was steep with a winding track leading up it. He had woods on each flank and the capital behind him. He would retreat there if it all went wrong. He smiled looking at his men. The Heavy infantry were lining the crest of the hill with archers 500 meters behind them to shoot over at the approaching Romans the light cavalry were on the flanks and the heavy cavalry as a reserve in the center. If it looked like the line was buckling at any point they would use their big horses to push forward and their long spears to stab over at them at the cowering infantry below.

(Hope its okey about me coming now.)
Carthage, the land who dominated most of the southern west culture. After Rome had gone against allies of their land, they had decided to aid with a fleet of 50 000 ships and 230 000 army men. From the shores of Sicily who just had been given them as price for help, they had traveled north. When they reached the destination were they had headed, the ships anchored and men went ashore. The army who arrived contained 30 000 stoneslingers, 100 000 Numidian Cavalry and 100 000 Spanish infantry. All leaded by the king of Carthage himself, since Rome had taken his daughter he wanted revenge but also to take her back. From the place they stood on land, they could see in distance the large army of Rome and Illyrians, this was going to be a battle to be remember Alcaeus believed.
For the first time Carthaginians and Romans would fight against each other, this was the start of a new era. By the sight the army saw in front of them, they watched as decisions were made. On the left flank of the Roman army they waited close to the shores, ships stood by in case a retreat were needed. The king decided to wait, as nothing had happened yet. To tell the Illyrians they had arrived, he decided to send a messenger to Kai. Steady they waited, with the army in defense positions. At the front the king stood together with his 100 000 Spanish infantry, as behind the 30 000 stone slingers were ready in case enemy approached. At the sides of the slingers were the cavalry, splitted in two groups as 50 000 were on both sides.

With the arrival of the Carthaginians Kai smiled, then he laughed and danced a little jig, word had come that with the death of the Etruscan King the Romans had taken Etrusca. If this meant their army was going to join the Romans in battle it would make the campaign allot harder and longer. He hoped that the minimal amount of blood should be spilt. He had also managed to finally hunt down the Italic army. They now joined next to his army and he heard the beat of drums behind him as another 300,000 of his men were on the move, in a couple of days they would arrive and he would push north.

((OOC: Still the same problem... can't post everyday sorry.)) IC: It had not been long before the arrival of the Romans to the land to conquer and force to submit, that Marcus had learned of Lucius' victory in Etrusci. Marcus only hoped that he would soon come to help since he did not wish men to die with no reason, for if they were greatly outnumbered then the invasion would be entirely senseless. Once the formations were ready and they were to charge, some small tents were built on the borders so they could keep track of allies of the tribes and block their entrance as much as they could. For a moment, mounted on his horse and with his sword in hand he thought this was a perilous battle, but soon he raised his sword and spoke out loud for his men to hear: "STEEL MEETS STEEL! 'On toward victory we march, the guiding star lead us to the battle field There, the heathens were subdued, and in the end we forced them all to yield or die.'" The Romans yelled in awe and courage to his last words and soon were ready to attack. Just as soon as the formations blocked any entrance form the north, they attacked. First the bowmen were positioned on each corner and the men with shields made formations to block any incoming arrows while the knights with Marcus as the leader broke into a strenuous attack so that the others could enter more easily. Soon they began to break the lines of the enemy and for a moment Marcus thought it would be easy for them to take the tribes in a fortnight or two, but then suddenly a horn alarmed the Romans, the tribes had an ally incoming by sea. Marcus then kept on fighting but at the same time prayed that Jupiter would bring Lucius to aid them or they would surely lose this battle and die.

((Are your knights mounted or dismounted?)) As the romans started to come up the very steep hill to his army Kai ordered his archers to loose, heavily armored the enemy may be but from 20,000 arrows at least a few must fall. His heavy infantry would be using their spears to kill the romans as they climbed and soon enough the romans started to loose their formations and once that had happened it was only a matter of time until they broke. As the knights hit the line the men started to bend slightly. So the heavy cavalry used the weight of their horses to push the infantry further forward much death was cause by the long lance-like spears that were heavy enough to crack a man's skull. When the enemy broke which they would they would be hunted down by the cavalry. A cavalry man noticed a centurion fighting with the knights pushing his way through the growing wall of bodies. So the cavalry man raised his spear and tried to stab the man down with a quick jab, the cavalry knew to be careful of people who would grab the spear and try to dismount them so they were very fast, he aimed for the centurions arm pit knowing it would be unarmored. This would be a bloody day.
