Eadfearth listened quietly. It was a sad story, even for a warrior like culture. To many deaths in a family could be depressing, especially in Olympia's case. Eadfearth though would of openly confronted the man, of course their cultures differ, not to mention their genders. In some cases, like Olympia's a female had more options. He simply stood there quietly, Eadfearth would not lie and say he knew how she felt. Because quite frankly, he didn't and she knew that. For some people it would cause anger. The King did not try to comfort her as well, to him she seemed alright. Then again he wasn't very good at interpreting emotions, nor expressing them for a human let alone a male.
He smirked at her comment. "Great futures eh?" He responded. " While I was still in my mothers womb, the priest and prophets had said I was destined for a great future. My name would be known, through out the lands in love and fear. Hopefully this would mean success against Sparta." Eadfearth began to think to himself now. His father had been religious man, perhaps that had been the reason he was chosen as heir and not his ever so close in age older brothers.

Olympia watched Eadfearth as they had a moment of silence. She could tell that he was thinking about her story and she smiled slightly. "I am alright. I have gotten past that part in my life and I will be only looking to the future. My past won't hold me down." Olympia said. But, had she really gotten past it? She almost wasn't sure if she was. She sometimes found herself thinking about her parents, when she didn't want to. Sometimes, she would get upset and just shut herself in her chambers, but that is on rare occasions and when she is really upset.
"Hopefully." Olympia said softly as she walked towards the window in her room, looking at it. She turned around to face him again, her brown eyes going to his. "Sparta is not like any enemy you have ever gone against. I am sure that we will be victorious, but they are going to fight until their last dying breath. They are some of the best warriors in the world and should not be underestimated." Olympia said, almost as a warning to Eadfearth. "But, I am sure that with our forces together, we will find a way to win." Olympia said, a smile on her face.

Eadfearth shrugged his shoulders and let out a sigh. He didn't totally buy it. Nobody would, even he would grieve over such a depressing story. But he would not show it. Olympia for the most part didn't. It meant she was a strong female with a lot of will. Eadfearth had strong will as well, but in some cases that could be seen as a flaw. It was good to show those strong emotions, it releases stress. " Never dwell on the past, you can not change it. Simply look forward for the future. My father would constantly tell me that." It was basically the same thing Olympia seem to live by.
The king of Germania caught her gaze. He stared back and replied stupidly. "Uhuh." He shook himself out of it. "So I've been told by everyone. I have never underestimated them." Eadfearth took a step forward. "But I do not think it is the skill of the Spartans, or the aid of my men who will make or break this war. I believe it will be the Macedonians. Their will to be free."

"Your father sounds like a wise man." Olympia said with a smile on her face. She couldn't help but wonder if she was going to be strong enough, emotionally. She thought she was doing a good job, but she knew that once she got back home that she would have to go to a temple and do something she still has not done, grieve for the loss of her family. All of Thessalonica will also grieve with her. They have not properly have a funeral for the loss of the last King and Queen. It would be a sad day in Macedonia, but she knew it was best for her people before the capital city revolts against the Spartans.
Olympia watched him as he stared back into her eyes. She gave him a half smile when he stuttered. "Exactly. We have something worth dying for and the Spartans don't. I suggest that you when you do come, try and ambush any Spartans that may try to be heading towards Thessalonica. Things are not going to be peaceful in Macedonia for awhile." Olympia said softly. She was worried that the rebellion may fail, although she knew that there was barely a chance that it would. "But, never mind that. When will we leave to go hunting?" Olympia said, trying to change the subject.

Eadfearth simply shrugged his shoulders at the comment about his father. In some ways he is wise, perhaps as a king and general. But there are many people who are more sagacious than his father. By now he had broken his stare and instead looked down at the floor as she spoke. " Obviously!" He said, turning his face to look up at her. He was smirking. " Nobody would choose to attack an enemy head on when you could ambush them. Not even the most ignorant of men." That was the truth. Even the least intelligent of generals would know take the choice of an ambush. Especially against Spartans, whom it was idiotic to attack head on. In contrast to the rebellion, Eadfearth had total confidence they would win. It would be difficult, but there was little if any chance to fail in his eyes. " Tomorrow." He replied, happily changing the subject. "Mourning." Eadfearth added. " Its getting a little bit too late. It would limit our hunting time." The King explained. Personally he preferred to stay out days at a time hunting. " I was thinking, you would like to meet and eat dinner with my sister alone."

Olympia grinned when she saw him break her stare and look at the ground. She nodded in agreement to what he said. "We can only hope that they are not expecting to be ambushed." Olympia said. From what she learned from Spartan culture, their warriors were trained from birth to do one thing, kill. She knew that they may be expecting an ambush, but from what her scouts have been reporting, there is no reason to worry about that at the moment. When she heard him say they were going hunting tomorrow, she nodded. When he said that she should eat dinner with his sister, she looked at him curiously. "That sounds like a great idea. What time will this dinner be?" Olympia asked, leaning against, her eyes going to the floor for a few moments. Her hair went around her face like a veil before she turned her head to look at him, her brown eyes going to his.

Eadfearth began to rub the back of his neck lightly. " Meet me outside of the North Gate. An hour after sun rise..." He referred to the hunting now. He wasn't sure if that was too early for Olympia. Most likely not. Specifically he did not know that part of their culture, the Macedonians that is. Eadfearth shrugged his shoulders at the question. He did not arrange dinners, festivals or anything along those matters. Only meetings, with his generals. "In a hour." He paused for a second. "I guess. Knowing her, she'll love to meet you. Besides, that with her help you can find a hunting coat that suits you perfectly." Eadfearth smiled. Some of him hoped, Catriona would not say anything stupid. As in ignorant or arrogant. She was extremely bold, which could and had lead to some problems in the past. Despite that, he still 'loved' her sister.
